AI startup impresses in innovation competition / More than 100 test criteria / Award ceremony with Ranga Yogeshwar to follow in June

Cologne, 12 February 2025 – coac GmbH was honoured as one of the most innovative companies in Germany at the annual TOP 100 award. The award recognises companies that are characterised by outstanding innovative strength. Science journalist and mentor of the TOP 100 competition, Ranga Yogeshwar, will personally congratulate coac on this success at the award ceremony on 27 June in Mainz.

About TOP 100
‍TOP 100 is based on a scientific selection process led by innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the competition, he and his team analyse the innovative strength of the participants based on more than 100 test criteria, which can be divided into the following five categories - innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success.

At core of the TOP 100 analysis are the companies’ structured innovation management and their outcomes. The test criteria include if these arise from innovation success or whether they are more of a coincidence (the test criteria can be viewed at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien). ‘Innovation means acting instead of reacting,’ says Franke, ’it means actively shaping the future instead of hoping that nothing will change.’

Über TOP 100
Grundlage von TOP 100 ist ein wissenschaftliches Auswahlverfahren, das Innovationsforscher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke leitet. Im Auftrag von compamedia, dem Veranstalter des Wettbewerbs, analysieren er und sein Team die Innovationsstärke der Teilnehmer anhand von mehr als 100 Prüfkriterien, die sich in die folgenden fünf Kategorien einteilen lassen - Innovationsförderndes Top-Management, Innovationsklima, Innovative Prozesse und Organisation, Außenorientierung/Open Innovation sowie Innovationserfolg.

Im Kern der TOP 100-Analyse stehen strukturiertes Innovationsmanagement der Unternehmen und dessen Ergebnisse.
